# Resta > Open-source, self-hosted server for many small SQL databases, one per user, tenant or agent. One Docker Compose file, Coolify-ready, Turso-compatible. Key facts: - License: MIT. Self-hosted only; there is no hosted Resta service. - Runs from one Docker Compose file (gateway, dashboard, api, node, postgres); ready for Coolify. - One account (super user) per server, plus API keys and expiring database tokens. - Databases use the SQLite dialect and file format, on the Turso engine; Turso SQL over HTTP v3 protocol. - Tested client: @tursodatabase/serverless (JavaScript). Not affiliated with Turso. - Backups: hourly snapshots of changed databases, 72 kept, to a Docker volume or any S3-compatible bucket. - Status: pre-release; the source repository is not public yet.
